blands of crime

I haven't put "bland" in a title in a year or so, I think. I remember for a long time I forced myself not to.

A deliberately less than complete digital mock-up for an oil painting I am supposed to be working on right now. I have only the most basic elements placed on the real canvas so feel free to tell me if the generic yellow thing inadvertently resembles some licensed character I might be less than aware of. It definitely reminds me of something and I am not above turning it into a lizardoid or worse. Other suggestions arealso welcome, in theory.

I am less than fond of posting "work(s) in progress" in places like this but I suspect it has more artistic merit than the thing I put up earlier today.
